Hand Hygiene Alert Sign
PLEASE ALLOW TWO MINUTES FROM SWITCH 0N FOR THE ELECTRONICS TO OPERATE BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY ADJUSTMENTS.
Set-up / Adjustments
There are six variable resistors at the top of the sign; they can be accessed from the top via the small holes using a small flat blade screwdriver.

When making any adjustments it is important to remember that the adjustments only “take effect” at the start of a message illumination. Any adjustments made during the run time of a message illumination will not be seen until the next trigger event.
The variable resistors adjust the following -
1) Light / Dark Level
This alters the threshold that the sign will decide whether the ambient light level is either bright or dim.
2) Run Time
This adjusts the length of time the sign is active for, after activation by the PIR
3) Strobe Rate
This adjusts the speed of the strobe speed of the chevrons, this should be adjusted to make the sign noticeable but not too fast that it becomes annoying or distracting.
4) Flash Rate
This is used to adjust the flash rate of the text, in this application this is not used as the text is permanently on during the trigger period.
5) Dim Level
This adjusts the brightness of the sign when the sign is in a dimly lit area, this can be simulated by covering the light dependent resistor mounted on the sign between the C and L of Clean.
6) Bright Level
This adjusts the brightness of the sign when the sign is in a well lit or “bright” area.
